Booking & Reservations
By completing a seat reservation on SeatBooking.lk, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in full.
- A booking is only confirmed after successful payment and issuance of a QR-coded ticket.
- Each booking is valid for the specific date, route, and seat selected at the time of reservation.
- Bookings are non-transferable to another passenger or date unless stated otherwise.
- You must provide accurate personal details (name, phone number, NIC/passport) at the time of booking.
📌 Note: Providing false or incomplete information may result in your booking being cancelled without a refund.

Payments
All payments on SeatBooking.lk are processed securely.
- The booking fee displayed (LKR per seat) is the amount charged at checkout and is inclusive of all applicable service charges.
- Payment must be completed in full before a reservation is confirmed.
- We accept major credit/debit cards and other payment methods listed at checkout.
- Your payment is encrypted and handled by our secure payment gateway. SeatBooking.lk does not store card details.
💳 Currency: All transactions are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR).

Cancellations & Refunds
We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- More than 24 hours before departure: Full refund minus a processing fee of LKR 50 per seat.
- Less than 24 hours before departure: No refund will be issued.
- No-show: Bookings are forfeited and no refund is applicable.
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
⚠️ Important: To cancel a booking, contact us via WhatsApp at 0725 519 555 with your booking reference number and QR ticket.

Passenger Responsibilities
As a passenger, you are responsible for the following:
- Arriving at the boarding point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
- Carrying your digital QR ticket (on your phone or printed) for verification.
- Carrying a valid NIC or passport if requested by the conductor or driver.
- Behaving respectfully toward fellow passengers and bus staff at all times.
- Complying with any rules set by the bus operator (no smoking, no alcohol, luggage limits, etc.).
🕐 Late arrivals: The bus will not wait beyond the scheduled departure time. No refund is provided for missed departures due to late arrival.

Seat Allocation
Seats are allocated based on your selection during booking.
- Once a seat is confirmed, it is reserved exclusively for you on the selected date and trip.
- Seat swaps on board may be permitted at the conductor's discretion but are not guaranteed.
- SeatBooking.lk reserves the right to change a seat allocation in exceptional operational circumstances. If this occurs, you will be notified in advance.

QR Ticket
Your QR-coded ticket is your proof of booking. Please treat it like a physical ticket.
- The QR ticket is sent to your registered email address after successful payment.
- Present your QR ticket to the conductor at boarding for scanning/verification.
- Do not share your QR ticket with others — each QR code is valid for one use only.
- If you lose your QR ticket, contact us via WhatsApp with your booking reference to retrieve it.
📱 Tip: Screenshot or download your QR ticket before travel in case of poor internet connectivity.

Service Changes & Cancellations by Operator
In rare cases, trips may be affected by unforeseen circumstances.
- If a trip is cancelled by the operator, affected passengers will receive a full refund.
- SeatBooking.lk is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, or other events beyond our control.
- We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any service changes via email or WhatsApp.

Limitation of Liability
SeatBooking.lk acts as a booking platform facilitating reservations between passengers and bus operators.
- We are not responsible for any injury, loss, theft, or damage that occurs during the journey.
- We are not liable for consequential losses arising from delays or service changes.
- Our maximum liability to you shall not exceed the booking fee paid for the affected trip.
🛡️ Passenger safety is the responsibility of the bus operator. Please travel with adequate personal travel insurance for your protection.

Privacy & Data
We respect your privacy and handle your personal data responsibly.
- Personal information collected (name, NIC, phone, email) is used solely for booking management and trip reminders.
- We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
- Your payment details are processed by our payment gateway provider and are not stored on our servers.
- By using SeatBooking.lk, you consent to our collection and use of data as described above.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
